Mr. GOODISON:

The applicants in this

matter are officials of the British America and Western Assurance companies. These two companies have their head offices in Toronto and are two of the oldest companies in Canada. The purpose of the bill is to incorporate a new and subsidiary insurance company. It contains all the provisions of, and is subject to, the Insurance Act. It has been approved in its entirety by the insurance department.

Motion agreed to and bill read the second time.
