Mr. GEARY:

Surely the reference to the Patent Medicine Act indicates clearly the intent, that you shall not over the radio do what you are forbidden to do by legislation, for example the Patent Medicine Act. That act does not allow you to advertise anything as a cure. I admit that this regulation is badly drawn, but surely the sensible view-

Mr. GEARY:

I should like to ask the hon. member for Southeast Grey (Miss Macphail) one or two questions. I have listened with interest to her observations, and should like to know if she will inform me first as to whether or not shipment by truck is satisfactory to those using that service, and whether it is more satisfactory than shipment by rail. Is there any difference in cost in favour of the truck? Then, is there any advantage other than that of cost which enures to the track shipment?

Mr. GEARY:

They may be or may not, I do not know, but the city council have always been in favour of this work, the people of Toronto have always been in favour of it, and there has been no change in the situation that my friends can point to. That idea is only dragged in because of some newspaper editorial that my hon. friend has read.
