Mr. Chairman, before this

clause is passed I would like to go on record in saying that I rely fully upon the declaration of the hon. Minister of Finance, that this

clause is being introduced as an experiment, and I am confident that if there are any criticisms offered they will receive the attention of the minister.

That government or other like annuities to the extent of $5,000 be exempt from income tax.

On section 4:

That corporate rates of tax be imposed on family corporations in respect of the interest therein of non-resident shareholders.

On section 5:

That directors, officers or employees of a Canadian company who reside abroad shall be taxable in respect of the dividend and interest income received from the company in which they are employed.
