I wish to call the attention of the hon. the Postmaster General to the fact that the town of Peterborough, though it has only a town post office, has a revenue of $21,000 as against $14,000 of revenue in Belleville.

Mr. KENDREY.

Do I understand that the Postmaster General has recommended that the salary of the postmaster of Peterborough shall be reduced from $2,000 a year to $1,750, and that the $250 taken off his salary shall be distributed amongst the employees.
