Mr. Mac T. McCutcheon (Lambion-Kenl):

Mr. Speaker, I should like to direct my question to the Minister of Agriculture. On or about June 7 the then minister of agriculture announced a payment of $60 per acre to farmers of southwestern Ontario for not growing sugar beets. I wonder whether the minister can say when the farmers will receive their cheques.

Mr. Speaker, I want to direct a question to the President of the Treasury Board. It is relative and supplemental to questions that were asked earlier today. Is it government policy to instal wall to wall carpeting in all deserted R.C.M.P. houses across Canada, as is now being done on Walpole Island?

supplementary question to the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Speaker. In regard to the closing of the C and D sugar refinery, what arrangements have been made, will be made or are to be undertaken respecting the payment of subsidies for the growers in that area who supplied the sugar company? Will there be any change in this regard?

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, the subsidy payment is on the 1967 crop. Actually it is paid in 1968. I merely want to know what the plans are for the 1967 crop.
