Mr. THOMPSON:

I realize that, Mr. Chairman, but I also realize that the money spent on the dominion experimental farm is for the benefit of the whole dominion, whereas the college at Guelph is a provincial institu-

tion. Ontario does not seem to be fairly dealt with so far as expenditure on experimental farms is concerned.

Is it the policy of the government to extend the testing system further than it has been carried in the past? In my opinion it has not covered the ground as it should.

Mr. THOMPSON:

I understood the minister to say a moment ago that the diseased carcasses went to the tank and were largely used for fertilizer. I should like to ask if it is not a fact that when cattle are inspected and found to have tuberculosis, tickets are put in their ears marked "T.B." and they may be sold f d drovers and go into the market and be used for human food.
