This item is made up as

follows: For Indian education $154,000 is being provided, made up of $67,000 for an increase in the per capita grants to residential schools; $40,000 to cover the final payment towards the cost of construction of the Beauval Indian residential school and $47,000 to provide furnishings for Indian residential schools erected from funds provided under the Public Works Construction Act. A sum of $21,000 is being provided for medical services, to provide for furnishings and equipment for buildings erected under funds provided under the Public Works Construction Act. An amount of $25,000 is being provided for aids to Indians, to cover the construction of thirty new houses for Indian families forced to move through the raising of the water level of Lac Seul.

Mr. MURPHY:

This item is for that

expenditure. The Department of Public Works were erecting those marks and were not able to complete them by March 31 this year. This is a revote to enable them to pay for the completion of the work.
