When the House rose last evening clause 8 of the bill was under consideration with an amendment proposed by the hon. member for Moose Jaw as follows: That clause 8, Part II, be amended by changing the period at the end thereof to a comma and by adding immediately thereafter the following words:

"provided however that before December 31, 1972, the government shall initiate a study under the Inquiries Act into the possibility of separating grain from general cargo, such grain to be handled by the Canadian Wheat Board."

Is the committee ready for the question on the amendment?
