I understood that the hon. gentleman had withdrawn the remark; I did not catch the other words. If the hon. gentleman repeated it, I must fulfil my duty and ask him to withdraw it.

Mr. SPEAKER:

I certainly always do my best to have but one rule in this House for members on both sides of the- House. As soon as I heard the hon. member say that the statement was false, I rose and called him to order, and asked him to withdraw it. The hon. gentleman said that he was ready to submit to my ruling; the hon. member for St. John says that he repeated the expression.
