Mr. THOMPSON.

This discussion has proven extremely interesting to me, as the representative of the only territory in Canada which exclusively produces gold. As I am going before this session closes to submit a proposition to the government to purchase all the gold that we produce in the Yukon Territory, I would like to ask the hon. Minister of Finance if there is any objection to the government purchasing gold and giving therefor government certificates ? We produce somewhere in the vicinity of $10,000,000 a year.
