1. Did any department or agency of the federal government engage Henderson Directories Limited of Winnipeg to compile the addresses and occupations of householders in the town of Dauphin, Manitoba and, if so, at what cost?

2. Do all postal areas having letter carrier service engage private firms to compile a postal directory?

3. Is the Post Office Department provided with a copy of the directory free of charge?

4. Are the addresses in the directory examined by post office officials to determine if they are correct?

5. Are the directories available to the public free of charge and, if not, what is the price of each copy and where may it be obtained?

Mr. Forbes:

Before we leave this clause, I should like to ask one question of the minister. I believe this is the only clause under which I can ask it. At the present time the Farm Credit Corporation will lend up to 75 per cent of the appraised value of the farm. People who are otherwise qualified

have difficulty in raising the other 25 per cent. I would remind the minister that if you are an urban dweller and you want to purchase a house you can obtain one for 10 per cent down, and in some cases less than that. I wonder if the minister would give consideration to increasing the amount of the loan to 80 per cent or 85 per cent of the appraised value of the farm?
