Mr. Speaker, I should like to put a question to the Acting Prime Minister.

Could he tell the house whether or not he has received a communication from the Quebec government or the premier of that province, Mr. Lesage, concerning offshore resources? Could he tell us if the Quebec government has indicated that it had exclusive jurisdiction over those resources?

Can the minister inform the house of the results of the meeting which is supposed to have been held this afternoon between the Minister of Agriculture and the representatives of the Ontario and Quebec governments concerning the situation of eastern farmers, especially those in the Ottawa valley?
