1. No. The design of the uniform was changed but all tunics of the old design are still being issued for station wear. Each airwoman is issued with two blue uniforms. Since the change in design, one of old design, and one new has been issued. The old design is for station use, the new for walking out.

No uniforms have been discarded except after full period of wear.

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Not applicable.

March 30, 1944

Mr. MACMILLAN:

No main airports of the B.C.A.T.P. were closed during 1942 and 1943. However, the following relief fields

were closed:

(a) In April, 1942, relief field No. 1 to

Boundary Bay, B.C., situated at Langley, B.C., was closed. '

(b) In March, 1943, relief field No. 1 to No. 36 O.T.U., Greenwood, N.S., situated at Waterville, N.S., was closed.

(e) In April, 1943, relief field No. 1 to

No. 9 E.F.T.S., St. Catharines, Ont., situated at Thorold was closed being replaced by R.l at Willoughby, Ont.

(d) In April, 1943, relief field No. 1 to

No. 19 E.F.T.S., Virden, Man., situated at Hargrave, Man., was closed being replaced by R.l at Lenore, Man.

At these three schools, air gunners are trained only and no bombing exercises are flown.

3. No. 2 bombing and gunnery school, Mossbank, Sask.; No. 8 bombing and gunnery school, Lethbridge, Alta.

4. Shown in Appendix "A" below are the numbers of days and nights during the year 1943 which were unfit for flying bombing exercises. Weather records show only the number of half-days and half-nights which were unsuitable for flying and do not specify the definite reason, such as, low visibility, low cloud height, snow conditions, etc.
