Mr. Speaker, I will pursue my supplementary question to the Prime Minister along these lines. Will the Government consider a new post-secondary education act, as proposed by the Canadian Association of University Teachers, which is supported by the Canadian Federation of Students, to provide the following: one, a national tripartite, independent post-secondary education advisory council involving the federal and provincial Governments and the post-secondary education community; two, a House of Commons standing committee on science, research and post-secondary education to provide a periodic review of government initiatives in regard to post-secondary initiatives; and, three-

Mr. McCurdy:

Mr. Speaker, I gather that the Prime Minister believes that it is more advantageous for students to go into debt than it is for the Government to go into slight debt in order to ensure not only that there will be educational opportunity but also the prospect of real economic growth.
