Mr. Speaker, I should like to direct a question to the Minister of Public Works. There has been considerable disappointment expressed in my constituency-

All right; the question is this. Considerable disappointment has been expressed in my constituency over what appears to be a meagre appropriation for harbour improvements in Fort William. Out of $100 million earmarked for the province of Ontario the city of Fort William, with 42,000 population, can expect a federal expenditure of only $100,000.

Mr. Badanai:
May I ask the minister whether money will be available for housing in villages and other small communities? Up to the present it has been impossible for anyone living in a small village to obtain a loan. We have cases in my constituency of small communities where people have been unable to obtain loans notwithstanding the great efforts made by them.

should like to direct a question to the Minister of Transport. Can he give us the approximate date when legislation will be introduced to establish a lakehead harbour commission, in view of his pre-election statements that municipal tardiness was holding up the projected harbour improvements?
