I should like to ask him whether he has found a way to overcome the obstacles brought forward by the Quebec government with regard to insertion of language guarantees in the constitution?

Mr. Speaker, I wish to direct a question to the Minister of Transport.

It seems that the C.N.R. is implementing in the province of Quebec a program to eliminate several platforms and to reduce the number of people responsible for checking the tracks.

Could the minister tell us if safety measures will be taken to ensure, in spite of the implementation of that program, continuous inspection of the tracks when turbotrains are put in operation?
