I should like to direct a question to the Minister of Reconstruction and Supply. Having regard to the increasingly acute housing problem in Toronto, as reported in the press of yesterday, brought about by a continuing movement of people into that city, can the minister report what progress has been made by Central Mortgage and Housing Corporation in the matter of a comprehensive housing project for the city of Toronto and surrounding townships?

All those articles would seem to be such as would be in everyday commercial trade and commerce. Is there any special reason why this corporation should be in those types of business which would be normal processes of trade?
