Mr. Speaker, may I direct a question to the Minister of National Defence. In his absence perhaps the parliamentary assistant will take notice of the question. Since it is reported that the role of the infantryman in the Canadian services is to be reassessed, possibly Monday, I wonder whether before the end of the session the minister will make a statement on the new role of the Canadian infantry in the Canadian services?
