Mr. I. D. COTNAM (North Renfrew):

I

want to call the attention of the government to a report that appears in the Ottawa Morning Journal of Wednesday, April 21, to the following effect:

Pembroke Approves

A delegation from Pembroke-

Pembroke is the county town of North Renfrew.

-headed by Mayor Duff and Daniel Jones, president of the board of trade, waited upon Hon. James A. Robb, Minister of Finance, yesterday. The spokesmen expressed approval of the budget and urged the minister to adhere to its provisions.

I wish to take exception to that article from which it would appear that these gentlemen came in the capacity of delegates representing the council of the town of Pembroke, and the Pembroke Board of Trade.
