Mr. Walker:

On the same point of order, Mr. Speaker, I should like to say, as I said the last time this order was before the House, that I consider this one of the most important topics in terms of parliamentary procedure that we parliamentarians during this finest hour in the week between four and five o'clock on a Friday afternoon have a chance to discuss. I support any assistance Your Honour can give to the House to seek unanimous consent for the motion to retain its position on the order paper.

Mr. Walker:

On the point of order, Mr. Speaker, this is probably one of the most most important subjects we have had before us for a long time. Many of us would like to have an opportunity to speak. There is precedent for a motion such as this to retain its position on the order paper with the consent of the House. I hope this debate can be carried on the next time notices of motion are before us.
