Mr. Barry Mather (Surrey-White Rock):
Mr. Speaker, I have a question I should like to direct to the Minister of Supply and Services. Having in mind the fact that the department now place approximately $1 billion worth of federal contracts across Canada every year and that only approximately 4.4 per cent of the business goes to British Columbia firms, would the minister give consideration or is consideration being given to equalizing the situation for the benefit of western Canadian firms and workers?
