No. Any instructions

received would have been received by the 245 returning officers, less the eight that have not been appointed. There are no special instructions.

Mr. GRA1DON: If my understanding is correct, the instructions to the returning officers are that the machinery with respect to enumeration should be started at an early day so that should there be an appeal to the people the machinery will be ready for operation.

I merely make this observation by way of suggestion, but I know that a large number of members have made reservations in order to get home to-night. It would be only with unanimous consent. Would the committee be inclined to sit on after one o'clock ?
