Mr. Speaker:
Order, please. I have only two very brief things to say. The House will realize, I am sure, that it would have been most inappropriate for me to anticipate this decision in any way. Therefore I have not arranged and have no intention of making any arrangements for any hospitality.

Mr. Speaker:
Order, please. Before commencing the oral question period, may I point out to members something which they may not have noticed. We are undergoing in the House an experiment with lighting. There has been an installation of lights high in the ceiling on one side, in the hope of being able to relieve the severity of the lighting that is placed lower down. This is experimental only. I should not, I suppose, add that the technicians hope the experiment will last more than one day. In any case, the experiment is there and the technicians have asked me and our colleagues in the House to evaluate this

experiment to see whether it is better than the more severe lighting lower down.

Mr. Speaker:
Order, please. 1 declare the amendment carried.
It being after ten o'clock, this House would ordinarily stand adjourned. 1 have an indication that the right hon. Prime Minister (Mr. Clark) wishes to gain the floor for the purpose of making a brief comment to the House. Since it is after the ordinary hour of adjournment, he could do so only with consent of the House. Is there such consent?
