Hon. ERNEST LAPOINTE (Quebec East):

Mr. Speaker, I desire to ask a question of the Prime Minister. Yesterday in giving
Western Grain Rates

an indication of the business before the house he said:
The redistribution bill will be proceeded with, and I think every reasonable effort is being made to expedite the work of that committee, at least that is my advice in that regard.
As I am advised, the representative of the opposition from the province of Quebec on that committee has not yet received any plan or proposal with regard to the province, in fact no work has been done at all as far as the province of Quebec is concerned. As the committee was appointed in November, and we are to-day on the 23rd of March, I would ask the Prime Minister whether he would not see to it that the work is expedited as far as the province of Quebec is concerned.
