Richard Bedford Bennett (Prime Minister; President of the Privy Council; Secretary of State for External Affairs)

Conservative (1867-1942)

Right Hon. R. B. BENNETT (Prime Minister) :

There is no acting Minister of Agriculture, owing to the fact that the minister's absence is not expected to be for any length of time; he is in the hospital in consequence of an infection of his eye. I have no knowledge of the matter to which the hon. gentleman refers, but so far as I know it has not been brought to the attention of the government.

I will see that any information available is furnished. Of course, when questions of this kind are asked without notice obviously they cannot be expected to be answered.
