CON

Robert James Manion (Minister of Railways and Canals)

Conservative (1867-1942)

Mr. MANION:

I was not going to make
any distinction between the two as a matter of fact. In regard to the continuation of the
C.N.R. Branch Lines

construction, that branch line is in exactly the same position as all the other branch lines throughout the country in that continuation of construction depends to a certain extent upon general conditions in the coming months. Regarding the extension of the time for construction of the line which my hon. friend from Antigonish-Guysborough mentioned yesterday, the government will bring in a bill some time this session to extend the time.
