Hon. P. J. VENIOT (Postmaster General):

On the 3rd March we inaugurated an air mail system between the different prairie provinces. The contract for this service was signed some time ago, but the contract does not specify that the routes mentioned therein are definite and the routes now being followed by the contractors are not absolutely definite; they are subject to change. Until such time as we are in a position to see whether the air mail routes laid out as contemplated will be a success, no definite routes will be laid out. It may take a month or six weeks to do this.
