As there is already a good deal of private legislation awaiting action by the house, but which cannot be taken up while the budget debate continues, I would suggest, in order to expedite business, that the government and possibly the leader of the opposition (Mr. Bennett) could get together with a view to preparing a special motion for sending this private legislation to the various committees concerned.
