Mr. SPEAKER:

I may say to the hon.
member for South Winnipeg (Mr. Rogers) that the Sergeant-at-Arms is the custodian of this building and the surroundings are under the surveillance of the federal police. This morning the usual number of police were oh duty, and I may add that since one o'clock from all parties, in the Senate and in the Commons, I have received great commendation on the orderliness of the crowd of people assembled here. I take this opportunity of congratulating in the name of the House of Commons the Sergeant-at-Arms and his force, and of course, the people themselves.
