Mr. HUMPHREY:

I would urge on the
minister something along that line. Considering that the old prospector is passing away,

I think something should be done to create an interest for the prospector and making it worth his while to go out and prospect for minerals. Conditions are such to-day, on account of the increased expense, that I believe it is worthy of every consideration this government or any government can give it. Further assistance could be given to these men, either by way of bonus or some other means, to encourage the prospector-and especially the old time prospector-to go into the field. These old timers are amongst the best prospectors we have."
