Mr. CROWE:

Is it the intention of the
Government to establish any of these hydroplane stations in British Columbia for the protection of the Pacific coast?
Mr: CARVELL: I am not able to state the policy of the Government on such an important matter. During the war, in conjunction with the United States authorities, it was decided to establish these two stations on the Atlantic coast and they were in course of construction when the armistice was signed. We did not consider that there was any danger at that time on the Pacific coast.
