1. Has the Government employed Albert Hod-gins, Richard Brown, Henry Alexander, Joseph Donnelly, Edward Markell, A. Anderson and
, William Daley, on the canal at or near Farran's Point?
2. If so, Is the Government aware that the usual occupation of the said employees is that of farming?
3. Will the Government insist that the said employees engage in farming during the continuance of the war?
4. If so, are the positions heretofore held by the said' employees to be given to returned soldiers?
