Madam Speaker, the New Democratic Party has opposed every cost cutting measure that this government has taken, every single one.
Not only have the NDP opposed them but it wants the government to spend additional moneys over and above those we have cut on new programs, new grandiose schemes and so on and so forth. This country cannot afford it.
If the NDP took a look at itself and its policies and where it is in the eyes of the Canadian people today, I think it would understand it is on the wrong track.
