1. (a)
Public Works Canada contracted for the laying of carpet in the third and fourth floor hallways of the West Block at the request of the House of Commons administration. This installation was rendered as a tenant service paid from House of Commons funds, (b) Director of Logistics, House of Commons. (c) $22,100.
2. Invited tenders were called in accordance with the Government contracts regulations, (a) Not applicable, (b) (i) Contractors were invited to bid with names being taken from the Regional Contractors Index, (ii) and (iii) Carpet Fair Ltd., $22,100. (awarded contract); Armenia Rug, $22,881.73.
3. The House of Commons administration intends in the future to proceed with the installation of carpet on the second floor corridor and on the east corridor of the first floor of the West Block.
