Hon. E. F. Whelan (Minister of Agriculture):
Mr. Speaker, the Hon. Member knows that the President of the Maritime Farmers Association was in Ottawa last week. He had meetings with agriculture officials and with the Canadian Livestock Feed Board officials. They are trying to put together certain recommendations that will amount to an expenditure of somewhere between $2 million and $5 million. I do not know whether that will be satisfactory to them, but it should offset some of the inequity that exists in that plan at the present time.
