Mark R. MacGuigan (Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada)

Liberal

Mr. MacGuigan:

-I would hardly have expected him to do other than to ask a question about it in the House. In fact there has been no such survey made as mentioned by the Hon. Member, and which he quoted from my colleague's letter. In fact the contract which that Company, Contrefort Incorporated, has with the Government through CUIO is not for surveys at all. It is for analysis. They produce a document called Dossier Quebec. To show the hon. gentleman that their work is open and above board, as indeed everything in the Government is, although this is not normally reviewed I will undertake to make a copy of this available to the hon. gentleman so that he can verify it for himself.
