Mr. Speaker, as soon as it was possible to investigate the stern section, that fact was ascertained. I cannot tell the hon. member when they reached the conclusion that it was indeed safe. I was first given a preliminary indication of that in a briefing three mornings ago. At that stage, further examination was still going to take place. I am interested in finding out why the hon. member is interested in exactly what happened at what stage of the process.
