Mr. John Rodriguez (Nickel Belt):
Mr. Speaker, my question is directed to the Minister of Consumer and Corporate Affairs. It arises from the recent Reisman report and the previous Arthur report which showed auto manufacturing companies were getting higher profits on Canadian car sales than on sales in the United States.
In view of the latest CPI figures which showed that car and truck prices have increased by 11.2 per cent over last year, can the minister tell us what he intends to do to roll back this increase which is obviously inflationary?
