1. The contract has been awarded by the acceptance of the low-est tender, but the department has not yet been notified that the contract is actually executed, and in these circumstances it is not in the public interest to announce at present the name of the firm or the prices involved.
2. On February 20, quotations were asked, by the purchasing agent, from : Royal City Fish Company, St. Mungo Canning Company, Bensing & Ayling, Fraser Fish Company, M. Monk & Company, and British Columbia Packers Association, all of New Westminster. No exact date was fixed for their receipt. The quotations were addressed to the purchasing agent. Montreal, and opened by him on March 23, 1910.
