PC

John Angus MacLean

Progressive Conservative

Mr. MacLean:

I would like to record my deep appreciation to you, Mr. Speaker, and to all the members and staff of this House for the many courtesies extended to me on so many occasions. I will miss the many friendships I have been fortunate to enjoy among you.
I will, of course, miss working in the parliamentary associations in which I have been active, and I will miss my work as chairman of the Standing Committee on Management and Members Services and the close association this entailed with the Commissioners of Internal Economy.
Whatever the future holds, I hope I may be able to retain at least most of the friendships I have enjoyed here. Let me wish you all continuing good health and satisfaction in your respective responsibilities to our country.
