Mr. MacLean:

While 1 consider my new responsibilities a great challenge, it is naturally not without regrets that I leave this chamber after 25 years' service. I will especially miss the honour of representing the people of the constituency of Malpeque, some of whom were also members of my former constituency of Queen's. They have done me the honour of electing me ten consecutive times to this chamber, thus making me their representative in one third of the parliaments elected since Confederation.
