Mr. Ray Hnatyshyn (Saskatoon-Biggar):

Mr. Speaker, my question, and first and second supplementaries are to the Minister of Transport relating to Air Canada. I wonder if the minister could inform the House as to when it is anticipated there will be an appointment of a permanent chairman of Air Canada.
In view of the promises of the minister, could he tell us if it is anticipated that we will have amendments to the Air Canada Act this session?
Finally, in view of the fact that there has not been a reference of the annual report of Air Canada to the Standing Committee on Transport and Communications since 1973, will the minister give a firm undertaking that this will be done in the very near future?
