I believe that the original charter contains no rights with regard to water-powers. This company was incorporated by the legislature of British Columbia, and, at a later date, came before this parliament. This is a renewal. There were amendments, one particularly, limiting the extension of time to those branches or extensions the termini of which were definitely named. The amendment suggested by the Railway Committee, I think, was accepted by the hon. gentleman in charge of the measure.
