Haughton Lennox

Conservative (1867-1942)

Mr. LENNOX.

I mentioned, last night as the House was about to adjourn, that to-day I proposed to bring up the subject of certain payments for alleged flooding in portions of the county of Peterborough in connection with the Trent Valley water system. My hon. friend the Minister of Finance (Mr. Fielding) mentioned to me just now that tha Minister of Railways and Canals (Mr. Graham) is out of the city, and he preferred that I should not proceed with the discussion now. The proposition is one which I think I should accede to, and therefore I will not bring up the matter to-day.
