Mr. Atkey:

This is clearly locking the barn door after the horse has been stolen. Even if a second airport is needed, which many people seriously doubt, the decision today destroys any flexibility left in siting an airport which may not be put into use for a decade. Surely this is one of the worst examples of backward planning this country has ever seen.
