Mr. Gilbert Rondeau (Shefford):

Mr. Speaker, I should like to move a motion under Standing Order 43.
I ask for the unanimous consent of the House to present a motion on a question of an urgent nature. Considering the thousands of agricultural auction sales held every week in Canada, especially in Quebec, which means that Canada will soon become an importer of foodstuffs, while up to now it had been an agricultural producing country, I move, seconded by the hon. member for Lotbiniere (Mr. Fortin):
That an order of the House be issued instructing the Committee on Agriculture to consider the matter of farm foodstuff supply, which is urgent for the economy of Canada and the Canadian people.
