Yes; a contract was awarded for improving the harbour of St. Johns, province of Quebec, consisting principally of clearing the site of proposed wharf and dredging to the required depth, building a new wharf and breakwater. The contractor might also be required to build in, intake pipes for St. Johns' waterworks, and to take up those now in use.
2. Messrs. John G. Poupore & Company, awarded by tender, schedule rates. Contract to he completed by April 1, 1909, which when moneyed out on approximate quantities amounts to $35,282.
