Mr. Robert Muir (Cape Breton North and Victoria):

Mr. Speaker, I had a question for
Inquiries of the Ministry the Minister of Fisheries. I have had a little difficulty in catching your eye, and the Minister has since departed from the chamber. However, because of the urgency of the subject matter may I direct my question to some Member of the Government. In view of the fact that a large field of drift ice is located off the coast of Cape Breton, would the Minister give consideration of delaying the opening of the lobster season in district 6B from May 15 to May 24? I regret I have not had an opportunity to give the Minister notice, but this question is prompted by a telegram I have received from the fishermen of the Cape Breton Co-operative Fisheries; and I might mention, Mr. Speaker, that I have also received a telegram, since coming into the House, from the Victoria Co-operative Fisheries Ltd.
