Marcel Joseph Aimé Lambert

Progressive Conservative

Mr. Lambert:

Mr. Speaker, I would think that it would be very churlish for hon. members of the House to refuse the proposal put forward by the hon. Member for Quebec-Montmorency (Mr. Marcoux). Actually the proposer of motion No. 2 is out of the country on behalf of the Special Committee on Food and Drugs, and is on actual House business. I would remind the hon. Member for Villeneuve (Mr. Caouette)-
(Translation)
I would remind the hon. member that, when two of his former colleagues were absent from the house some time ago because they had to represent the Canadian parliament on an international commission, a motion in their name on the order paper was left, at the request of his colleagues, at the same place for weeks, until their return.
So, I think we should show the same courtesy in this case by supporting the request of the hon. member for Quebec-Montmorency (Mr. Marcoux).
