Mr. Hazen Argue (Assiniboia):

Mr. Speaker, on February 27 I asked the Minister of Transport whether the government would consider under section 53 of the Railway Act, disallowing the freight increase on grain moved from Georgian bay ports to the St. Lawrence. The minister answered at that time by saying that the matter would be taken under advisement. My question now is, since eastern and western provinces have indicated that they will ask the government to disallow this increase in freight rates, has the government now had an opportunity to consider the question?
